Well I have just recieved my first wedding invitation of the year, I thought I was the only person left single/unmarried but there appears to be a few of my friends left. Still looking on the bright side there will be a few divorce parties to go to in a few years times! Then at least I won’t be the last bastion of bachelorhood, and will have someone to go for a drink down the pub, rather than half to turn up and force myself on the unwitting who aren’t quick enough to leave as I enter the pub.
I was working today, which basically means I force myself and my ideas on unsuspecting students who have basically paid for teh priveledge, its kind of like the pub but I get paid for saying stupid things. What we covered was another coaching workshop similar to what I did with the other half of the group last Friday.
They mentioned that some of them were heading to my local for someone’s birthday, so I will have to impose myself on them. Still on the plus side for them I am working tomorrow so can’t get too blathering drunk.
My preparation is going well for the trip, all i have to do is get my visa tonight (mental note: don’t forget this mark!), I have BMC insurance, which will get me out of trouble if I have a kite-skiing accident at the arse end of the world. I also have about 30 cams ready to strap it onto some splitter cracks, I have cleaned the mill dew off the Portaledge, found my haul bag, cleaned the sleeping bag, found Etriers, borrowed Jumars and generally become more and more excited.
All I have to do is finish two days on a Rock Developer course at Plas Y Brenin see myself through monday and tuesday, before heading west!
