For many people climbing grade I scrambles is about the limit that they feel they can safely achieve beyond that grade there is often sections of easy rock climbing that need to be overcome. As such some idea of how to use ropes is not only beneficial but essential. On this course we will guide you up any Grade II or III scramble showing you the ropes, and letting you get a feel for just how hard these route can be. If you want to learn more about the rope work then we can cover that on subsequent days, however most people are happy to be guided up these amazing routes.
In particular we can guide you up Dolmen Ridge, Chasm Route, Parsons Nose, Bilberry terrace, or any of the harder routes on the East Face of Tryfan or even up the Cyfry Arete on Cadair Idris.
If it is the skills you want to learn then we can look at applying these skills in a less threatening environment than half way up a grade III scramble where we can take time to consider the different methods of roped travel through different types of terrain.
