How To Climb Harder: The latest climbing coaching book form Pesda Press

Well its been a busy week for me, and today after a mammoth checking and signing off session at Pesda Press my coaching book ‘How to Climb Harder’, has finally been wired to the printers. The book captures all the knowledge I have developed through teaching climbing and studying, as well as research into various areas. If you like this book captures all the tricks and techniques I use to help my clients get better at climbing.

Its an exciting time, in that I can only hope that my own coaching, guiding and instruction business will start to build momentum after its publication. The book is like no other you have read on climbing technique, and with my writing, photography and research; and Pete the designer at Pesda Press eye for detail and style, we have managed to make something that is truly amazing.

The book has something for everyone whether you are starting out and need to learn the basic techniques, or making your way through the grades and want to learn a bit about the techniques and tactics of leading, to a climber at the very top of their game wanting some tips on the psychology of success.

The book is also incredible value at £15.99 and it should be available in shops from the 1st week in September.

    A new climbing book!
Congratulations, Mark, for finishing your project! Will there be sample chapters/index/… available online to get an idea if the book is interesting for me?

    Best wishes from germany,
    David

    Hi David
I have looked at the http://www.pesdapress.com site, and there currently aren’t any sample pages, however there are samples pages for there other publications. My guess is that they will get round to this in the next couple of weeks. The book literally was only finished at 3pm this afternoon. No sooner had I signed the first page it was being wired across the interweb to the printers.

What grade do you climb, what would be interesting for you? I might be able to give you a run down of topics that might be of interest.

    Thanks again

    Mark

    Thanks for your answer!

For the last year, I’ve been restricted to bouldering mostly on plastic, but last time I checked I did a UIAA 7 / french 6b+ including working out the moves and redpointing in ~20 minutes and hope to do my first 7A Boulder this year.

    Thanks for your time
and all the best for your book’s success,

    David
